Setting the prefered memory size for Descent II to 500K less than the largest available block on your system should ensure that you have enough memory for Quicktime. You may either continue at your own risk or quit and change the memory requirements.
In order for Descent II to play Quicktime movies, you should have at least 500K free memory on your system after Descent II launches. Failure to do so might result in Descent II hanging or crashing. Your system currently has less than 500K free.
Descent II must be launched with the Descent II CD present in the CD-ROM drive. Please insert the Descent II CD and restart Descent II.
The monitor resolution is too small. Descent requires 640x480 in order to run. You may either select ‘Allow Resolution Switching’ from the Descent II Configuration dialog, or use your Monitors control panel to set the monitor resolution to 640x480.
An AppleCD compatible CD-ROM extension is not installed. To hear Redbook Audio while playing Descent II, you must be using an AppleCD compatible CD-ROM.
The Audio CD extension is not available. To hear Redbook Audio while playing Descent II, be sure that the Audio CD extension is in your extensions folder when starting Descent II.
Foreign File Access is not installed. To play your own Audio CD’s, you must have the Foreign File Access extension in your extensions folder when your Macintosh boots.
The version of Sound Manager installed is too old. To play Descent II, please reinstall SoundManager 3.1 from the Descent II CD-ROM and restart your Macintosh.
SoundManager 3.1 is not present. To play Descent II, please reinstall SoundManager 3.1 from the Descent II CD-ROM and restart your Macintosh.
The version of QuickTime installed is too old. To play Descent II, please reinstall QuickTime 2.1 from the Descent II CD-ROM and restart your Macintosh.
QuickTime 2.1 is not available. To play Descent 2, please reinstall QuickTime 2.1 from the Descent II CD-ROM and restart your Macintosh.
QuickTime PowerPlug is not installed in your extensions folder. Please install QuickTime 2.1 PowerPlug from the Descent II CD and restart your Macintosh.
